Are you getting them for real cheap or something? I mean, if you are buying new injectors for that turbo, why not spend a bit more to get bigger injectors? 550's won't cut it.

I agree. Unless you're getting them for a smoking hot deal, you might as well get 660's. That way you have room for additional power in the future and you won't require as high of a fuel pressure, which will be less taxing on your fuel pump.

Most places sell 550s for the same price or very near the same as 660s, so for the extra few dollars it makes sense.

You're only going to run 18-20 psi? Why get a 20G instead of a 16G, then?

Because we both know he won't actually run 18 PSI. He'll get bored in a month and it'll be at 20 PSI... then 22. Then who knows.

Hence the recommendation to go larger on the injectors now, instead of having to pony up again in six months when he's ready to step up to some big boy boost!

At 18-20psi, I had no issue running 550 injectors on stock fuel pressure, on a 20g...

I have to agree with Dan though, why not just use as evo3 16g? At that boost level, the power is probably going to be about the same, and with quicker spook up..

I ran both on my old 1g.. And even though I left the 20g on when I sold it, I liked it better with the 16g.

But do what you want.. 550's and 93 octane are plenty for that turbo at that pressure level.. You do much higher than the 20psi mark, you may want to start pumping some race gas in, just to be safe.

if you can afford 550's just get some bigger one because if you ever want to upgrade in the future then you will not have to buy twice.

Yeah, I'd honestly trust the words of someone who owns a DSM specialty shop, and has been driving/racing DSM's for the good part of a decade or even more (what do I know). He's probably experienced everything he sells first hand.

However, if you already have the 20G, might as well make the most of it and get 660's, more fuel pressure, and turn up the boost.

this is a reason why to by bigger cuz at the end of the day you want to go faster, and push your car harder. Iknow this cuz i bought 580 then,780, 880, and now 1050's, but i've upgraded my snail a few time too.
